The journal publishes scientific works according to classification code 17.00.02 Musical Art (Art History); 5.10.3 Art Types (Musical Art) (Art History).
The journal publishes articles on music theory and history, contemporary composers, spiritual singing culture, problems of mass musical culture, music education, music performing arts. An important place is occupied by materials on musical culture of peoples of the Volga and Ural regions, other regions of Russia and the world. The periodical lays open to public reviews of new scientific publications, thematic reviews, interviews, archival materials.
It is addressed to specialists in the field of musicology, teachers and students of music schools, as well as those interested in music science.
